Description
It's hard to improve great products, but the Grace Company has done just that with the new Cutie Breeze Tabletop Quilting Frame. Grace heard all of the challenges quilters faced with the original Cutie and simplified the design of the Cutie Breeze. Like its predecessor, this compact frame allows you to do everything a ten or twelve-foot frame can do for a fraction of the room and cost. Designed to work in your space, the Breeze doesn't come with legs; you can set it up on a kitchen counter, a kitchen table, a craft room, or even a picnic table. Weighing in at approximately 40 pounds, you can take the Breeze to retreats and guild meetings. The Breeze Frame doesn't need its own dedicated space like traditional frames; when it's not in use, you can store it under a bed or vertically in a closet. With its zone-to-zone method, the Breeze offers limitless possibilities! If you can imagine it, the Cutie Breeze Tabletop Quilting Frame can help you make it happen! Thousands of dollars cheaper than most options, this frame gets you into frame quilting cheap. (Machine and table not included)
DIMENSIONS
One of the biggest selling points for Grace's Tabletop Frame is its compact size. Instead of having a dedicated space for quilting like with traditional 8, 10, or 12-foot frames, the Breeze can easily work in any room. The Breeze Frame quickly moves from the table to the counter or a desk, depending on when you want it. To better fit your project and room, the frame even has adjustable rail height and depth. Measuring approximately 52" wide by 40" deep by 23" tall (fully extended), the Breeze is designed to fit your space. Please note the Cutie Legs are NOT compatible with the Breeze.
CROSS COMPATIBLE
Grace's Cutie Breeze Tabletop Fabric Frame is compatible with almost any machine. The frame's top plate can accommodate any home machine that's less than 11-1/2" thick and is adjustable to fit sewing machines with up to 19" of throat space. So easily pair this frame with your longarm, midarm, or domestic machine.
FREE MOTION
With the Cutie's premium dual-track system, free motion quilting has never been easier! Your sewing or quilting machine will effortlessly glide over the fabric in any direction—easily quilt loops, arches, pantographs, straight lines, and others on the Cutie Breeze.
NEWLY DESIGNED HANDLES
One of the biggest critiques left by quilters was the handle position, so Grace has wholly redesigned the carriage and handles to make your hand placement more comfortable. When you first start your quilt, your fabric may hang over the handles or bunch up around them if you have a large project, and that might impede your quilting. Another complaint was for taller people wanting to do stand-up quilting, the handles needed to be higher. With the handles now going over the top of the machine, Grace has fixed those problems for a more relaxing experience. As an added bonus, the handles also have a storage compartment that can hold scissors, pins, and bobbins.
CUTIE BREEZE TABLETOP FABRIC FRAME BENEFITS
ZONING
The Cutie Breeze Tabletop Fabric Frame allows you to quilt crib to quilt king-size projects with its zoning method. The zoning method means to think about your project as block sections. Quilting in zones or block-sections means that the only limit on your design is your imagination.
STORAGE & ACCESSIBILITY
Weighing an estimated 30 pounds (without carriage), you can easily take this frame to classes or guild meetings. When ready to store it away, place it under a bed or vertically in a closet. With all the moving you can do with the Cutie Breeze Frame, it was designed with durability in mind and has additional corner braces and aluminum extrusions to make the structure more sturdy.
EASY SET-UP
One of the most significant improvements on the Cutie Breeze is the setup process. Grace has taken their long, arduous 26-step setup and streamlined it down to 11 steps. This easy-to-assemble frame includes fewer parts and clear instructions, removing any confusion and guesswork during assembly.
CUTIE BREEZE CLAMPS
For large quilts, you need large clamps, so Grace designed large C clamps to go along the back take-up rail in place of their elastic straps. The Cutie Breeze Clamps are removable. If you use a smaller domestic machine, you may find it easier to quilt with the regular clamps and not use the large C clamps.
WILL MY MACHINE WORK?
I bought the Cutie Breeze frame from sewingmachine.com at a local quilt show along with a Little Rebel. It was missing carriage stop clips (which I erroneously added to my review of the Little Rebel.) They went above and beyond to assist me with the missing parts. Excellent seller. The frame is quite easy to put together and runs smoothly. I look forward to dabbling in free motion quilting from the comfort of my own home!
